Another baby A

but this time, it’s a girl. She is about 3.5 months old and is very good at rolling over. Here are two sneak pics for you, Nicole.

Sweet dreams are made of these

Plowing through the pictures I took of Baby Boy A. He’s officially my first baby who smiles while sleeping. Well, the first one since I started photographing professionally. For 2.5 hours we really tried hard to get him to sleep again but he fussed a lot and we didn’t managed to get those “black & white naked sleeping baby shots”. :(

Here are two crops that I like.

Will be going through the session pictures over this weekend. I will introduce another Baby A in my next posting but this will be Baby Girl A. :)

Baby A

Baby boy A was born on Sept 24. I know his mom for the last 7 years where she works at my family doctor’s office. I am very happy for Lindsay that she’s finally a mom and from what I saw this morning, she will be a great mom! Congrats again.

I only managed to post-process one pic tonight as Thursday night is always a busy night. More pictures to come soon.

What sweet words.

My 7 y/o said to me yesterday, “Mom, since it’s Thanksgiving today I would like to thank you and dad for taking care of me all these years.”

My 4 y/o chirped in. “Me too.”

Wow, I was speechless.

Didn’t expect it.

Felt…. thankful.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

What a great Monday weather. I hope you guys took the opportunity to take some pictures of your kids playing with the fallen leaves. After the weekend crazy, gusty weather, our street was littered with tons of leaves. I got the kids out this morning for a photo-op.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Hope you had a great family get-together.

Just love the backlighting here.
_mg_4193.jpg

Feeling arty and did some different post-processing with textures.

Another different feel. I like my daughter’s pose in this. Very “model-ish”. LOL!

Back to school

Yay!! Although my son was in school for just one hour, it was great to see everyone again. And I saw a newborn baby today. I got so excited and talked to his mom and gave her my card. I hope to hear from her. When I see newborns, I go a bit crazy just wanting to photograph them so much.

I totally forgot about Ms. B. I promised her mom back in June that I would photograph her daughter before she cut her long hair. It was only in August that I had the time. So, here are some of her pics. I wished I could make her more comfortable but Ms B is 12 and it’s hard to kitchy-coo her. LOL! Her mom & Ms B like the pictures so I am glad.

Holiday special session!!

I am going to offer a holiday special session. The special pricing is $65.00 which includes 30 mins of on-location photography (either your home or a location we both agreed on) and 25  5″ x 7″ flat greeting card & envelopes. This only applies to one pose for one set of cards. $32 for the next set of 25 cards and you can choose other poses from the session. The cards are ordered from a US pro lab. It’s of stock card quality and not photograph paper.  I so love their quality and you will to! Here are three designs that I am doing. There will be more added.

bluebulb-copy.jpgcandy_cane.jpgtree.jpg

I haven’t decided when to do the sessions yet but most probably from the end of September till end of October. This will give us ample time to order and receive the cards and you can send it off to your loved ones. Watch out for dates announcement.

Book with me soon. This year, do something different other than the usual SearS/Wal-mart backdrops and go a for personalized and different holiday cheers! :)

Choo-choo!!

We are going for the Canada Line tour tomorrow. Apparently, lots of people want to go and it’s fully booked. We managed to get the last slots or something. (I don’t know what makes me say “choo! choo!” Trains don’t go choo! choo! anymore)

Anyway, here’s some pics of my daughter taken last week. All different feel of post-processing. She’s getting good at direction nowadays.

_mg_3683.jpg_mg_3685-pp.jpg_mg_3687pp.jpg_mg_3689.jpg_mg_3699-copy.jpg

In the last picture, she fell down the stairs a couple of minutes earlier. Lucky, I managed to get a band-aid. She was not in the mood for photography anymore by then. But I think with that weather beaten chair, the wall texture, the messy ground, and her mood, the b&w sets the tone for that pic.

If anyone of you has done a jibjab.com video, I want to see it!!

Me disco!

After watching “So you think can dance” tonight, I decided to check out jibjab.com. They had a hilarious sketch dance and I made one of me & hubby doing the disco! Have a laugh!

Peace of mind

Saw my doctor this morning and he said the toe nails are all right but I have to soak my feet in epsom salt and warm water every night. I also have to “train” my nails by pushing it back with a q-tip. All these are better than surgery!!

Wow, what a beautiful day today but my kids are too tired from morning activities.

I just bought some er.. expensive photoshop actions to play with. It makes the pictures a bit more art like. I have always wanted to play with textures too. You can see it in the background. I need to find another different picture to play again.

img_3170a.jpg

Updated: Tried it on one of the pictures of this blog’s banner. :)   I really like it.

Sometimes I play…

play with my pictures that is. A special processing. I like the colours complimenting this angle and composition of the picture.

_mg_3619a.jpg

I am worried…

that I might have to go for some minor surgery. :( I hurt two of my big toes two months ago while playing badminton. Part of the nail died and broke off. There is new nail growing. So I thought my toe nails will be ok until this afternoon when I checked that maybe the nail is growing into the flesh instead of above it. Double AAARGHH! I hate the thought of what my doctor will say. So far, it doesn’t hurt. Doc’s appointment next week.

A happy note: I got a call from Renu (AA twins’ & Ms R’s mom) that she loves the pictures. Cool!! I’m happy as well. And thank you again.

My son was sick yesterday so I didn’t finished my post processing of Ms L until tonight. So, here are some pics to share.

_mg_3563.jpg_mg_3588.jpgimg_3163a.jpgimg_3188.jpg

Yeah, she blew bubbles for a long time. She was challenging. When I was there, she didn’t want to have anything to do with me. I tried to get her into a better lighted area in the backyard but she was running all over the place chasing bubbles etc. I liked the mom & daughter pic.

But I guess my favourite picture of the session is this one (below). It was right before her mood changed.

_mg_3663a.jpg

Busy, busy..

I’ve been busy with a lot of things. One of them is trying to finalise my website so that I can “launch” it but there are still minor things to figure out.

Anyway, I did a session with a going to be 3 year old over the weekend. So, I am also busy post processing pictures from that session. Here’s one as a sneak preview. Please welcome Ms. L.

Ms R & her brothers

I’ve finished processing the AA twins sessions. Oh, did I tell you that they have a great 6 year old sister, R? Her mom says R is so helpful around the house since mom is busy with the twins. R is so easy to talk to. I asked her what’s her favourite subject in school. Art? Music? She said it’s basketball!! Way to go, R!

_mg_3448.jpg

I’ll just post two more pics of the twins and I am going to bed. It’s past 11pm and I have a morning session in North Burnaby. Yay!!

_mg_3496.jpg_mg_3492.jpg

Gosh, can he get any cuter? :)

_mg_3487.jpg

So many things to do..

so little time. August is just going to be so busy. I am still halfway through the AA twins pictures. Here are some to share.

_mg_3402.jpg_mg_3408.jpg_mg_3411.jpg_mg_3412.jpg

These guys are so serious most of the times but when you manage to tickle their fancy, they give you the most pinchable cheeks and smiles. I can’t remember which pictures belong to which baby but I hope their parents will know, LOL!

I just uploaded pictures taken with my cellphone to my PC. It has been some time since I do this and I can’t remember taking this pic with my kids. :)

dsc00175.jpg

And it’s my mom’s birthday today. Happy Birthday, Mommy. Hope you enjoy yourself today.

My first twins!

I was in Delta on Saturday to photograph my first twins. I first met them at the end of May and wow, they have grown into these healthy 8 months old. At the moment, I am busy post processing their pics. More pics here as I progress. :)   Here are the AA twins!

_mg_3464.jpg

They don’t look too happy, do they? LOL! They did take a long time to warm up to me but they did later. Those pics coming.

August will be a busy month for me and no, my last posting wasn’t a cheesy promotion! LOL! My kids’ activities are mostly in the week day mornings and hence, it will be slightly harder for me to arrange for morning or afternoon sessions next month. I will only have Fridays “off” in August and two to three Saturdays or Sundays that I can take on any session. So, if you do want a free session with me, please email.

An announcement and a baby

I am loving summer!! Not that I am going on vacation or doing something incredibly different from the norm but I am really, really enjoying the weather.

And no, I am not pregnant. This is why I shouldn’t put announcement and baby in the same line. LOL!! Here’s Baby D who was smiling and being so happy throughout our session.

And my favourite from the session.

img_3307.jpg

Thank you, Jane for letting me photograph D.

It’s beginning to look more like summer.

Yes, finally! Hot days with sunshine and blue skies. :) I just had a session with D (whose older sister S is the Girl Fairy!) this morning. So, will look into the pics later.

Here are two pictures of A, the 18 day old baby girl I photographed on Sunday. I really, really, REALLY like the second pic a lot. If I have a studio, I would just blow that up and have it framed on my wall.

Busy… I like.

Wow, I have been photographing babies & kids almost everyday. I love it but I’m happy to have a break today. I am still post processing the pics I took on Sunday on T & A. I have some of T to post today. T has got to be the one of the luckiest little girl. She’s beautiful with big eyes and a gorgeous smile. Even when she’s not smiling, she looks good. I have to learn from her, LOL! And her mom Sylvia is so talented in decorating. She drew the flower on the bedroom’s wall and have all sort of Pottery Barn Kids quilt and girlish stuff in T’s bedroom. On to the pictures of T.

Here’s something for…

S and her sister, D. I’ve been busy and am trying to post process the pics as fast as I can. This picture was taken 2 days ago at Deer Lake Park. S loves this dress! I was asking her to do a twirl or a mini dance but I don’t think she liked the idea much, LOL! Ok, back to work.
