mindless rantings

Settling in

Ok so we have moved three weeks ago and I still have boxes and boxes everywhere. I have sort of given up unpacking and I don’t care about it anymore. I seriously doubt I will be able to do any photography sessions this season. :( Just so much to do.

I am migrating!!!

Migrating to my own server instead of hosting my blog on wordpress.com. Everything remains the same except that the next posting will be at [click] MY NEW BLOG. Please update your bookmark. I spent a whole night figuring things out and installing wordpress on my server, ran into problems etc etc since I am just an ok tech savvy. Thank god for Google and forums. :)

See everyone over there!

You might like this too..

if you don’t know about this products by now. They were all new to me. I’ve thought of rambling how I’ve gotten these things but I think not. Anyway, this antibaterial foam wash from The Bath & Body Works is terrific! The one I have has blackberry and vanilla scent. Each time we wash our hands with it, the bathroom smells just a tinge of it. My kids are washing their hands more nowadays. LOL! bath & body works

Next, cupcakes! But not your average cupcakes. These are by Original Cupcakes. Nice looking and good stuff.

Thank you. You know who you are! :)

I received my Harry Potter First Day Covers in the mail. Still missing in the Owl Service is the stamps, presentation pack and another something. I feel like partipating in the midnight Harry Potter book release tonight although I’m not buying the book till later.

Monitor Callibration Tool

Many of us can’t afford to get those expensive hardwares to callibrate our monitors but then a lot of us don’t always spesifically use the computer to view pictures. But here’s a free simple tool to adjust your monitors so that you are seeing the colours /contrast that I see. :) Monitor Callibration Tool

What are you reading?

It’s fun to read a book outside in the shade. I read more during the cold days. I should really start reading more again. I used buy and read a lot! There are so many books that I can recommend you. One of my ultimate favourite of all time is “The Suitable Boy” by Vikram Seth. I finished that within a week. Another is “The Fine Balance” by Rohinton Minstry. Well, those are for the serious side of me. Usually, I love fast paced, conversationally written books like.. hmmm… the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich. Who to choose? The good looking cop or the suave mysterious bounty hunter? I doubt we’ll ever know which Stephanie will choose. :) And of course, the Harry Potter books. “The Da Vince Code” is one helluva great story writing.

Right now I’m reading “Middlesex” by Jeffrey Eugenides. Well, yeah. I saw that episode of Oprah. :) I picked up Stephen King’s book at the library which includes “1408″. I was just wondering what’s the story about that they made a movie out of it. I love horror stories but haven’t read one in ages. I don’t usually like Stephen King’s books though. My favourite horror author is Graham Masterton. His books gave me the chills. I started with “The Manitou” and then kept buying and buying. I remember one book (forgot the title) about kids in the wall and man, it gave me (and my friend who read it too) the creeps. I found his latter books aren’t as good as his earliest ones and I didn’t read him anymore. But tonight, I got curious and found a new book called “Edgewise” at the library. So will scare myself silly this summer.

Boy, isn’t today HOT???
